The Vortex PC66 is a revival of the legendary IBM PCjr retro keyboard.
The design remains largely unchanged, but the internals have been
upgraded to meet all the modern standards — featuring hot-swappable
keys, a gasket mount, and dual modes of wireless connectivity.
About
Gasket Mount
Mounting style with damper pads, which isolates the PCB and plate from direct contact with the case, providing a softer, quieter typing sound.
Hot-Swap
Special sockets allow the switches to be freely replaced without resoldering. The standard Cherry MX style switches are suitable for this keyboard.
Tri-mode
The keyboard can be connected via Bluetooth, 2.4g adapter or USB Type-C cable. In wireless mode, the keyboard is powered by the built-in rechargable Battery.
Vibration damper
Located between the plate and the PCB. It dampens vibrations from pressing — this makes the typing process quieter.
Programmable
You can configure macros and remap keys using a dedicated software for PC66 — Vortexgear GUI. The software is only compatible with Windows.
PBT Dye-sub keycaps
The keys are made of highly durable PBT plastic with dye-sublimation technology. This combination allows the keys to maintain its initial appearance for a very long time.
Adjustable feet
Allow you to raise the keyboard and adjust the angle for comfortable typing, while the rubberised bottom stops the keyboard from moving.
Full N-key Rollover (NKRO)
Lets you press an unlimited number of keys at once. Useful in games when you need to press multi-key combinations.
